Introduction

Mindfulness, within the Indic traditions, is called smrti or sati. In the recent decades a secular form of mindfulness has been developed for stress reduction and reducing depressive episodes. Both the secular and spiritual mindfulness approaches support in leading a practitioner to happiness, not qualified by time, place nor causation. We can learn to ‘be’ happy as opposed to ‘becoming’ happy. This Indica Course will systematically present Mindfulness and its pathways to Non-Duality. The curriculum is based on the Secular traditions of Mindfulness and Adi Shankara’s philosophy of Non-Dualism.

Learners will be given homework for self-reflection/study and recommended practices.
