Dr. Ujjwala Khot- Palsuley, a Conservation Architect -has been in the field for over 23 years as a Practitioner, Researcher, and Academician. She has worked on various World Heritage Sites for UNESCO’s nominations and conducted Workshops, Research, and projects in 16 countries.
She is a founder of Samrachanā -Heritage Conservation & Research Initiative, which focuses on key aspects of Indian heritage. She is an alumna of the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi (Architectural Conservation) and Lunds University, Sweden (Conservation Management of Historic Buildings) and also completed her Doctoral research on Southeast Asian Architectural History, with a special focus on Khmer Architecture, Cambodia, and Dravidian temple architecture.
She has been consistently working on the influence of Dravidian temple architecture on Khmer temple architecture of Cambodia since 2005. Her significant work area is an “Indian” method to appreciate Indian temple architecture. Her research papers are published and presented at International Conferences. She has won many awards for her research papers and presentations at Oxford University in August 2023, IGNCA, Delhi in March 2023, ICOMOS since 2021-2023, School of Planning and Architecture, Bhopal and BAPS conference, Ahmedabad to name a few.
Recently been awarded as Woman of substance-2024, and Pride of Bharat by ICAN foundation.
Copal Publishing published her book “Cambodia: India Outside India” in 2023. This book is a renowned source in the architectural fraternity and has also been accepted as a reference book at the Angkor Database at Siem Reap.
