Dr. Sushree Sasmita Pati has degree in M.A.Sanskrit from Pondicherry University with Gold Medal for being First class first among successful students. She has qualified UGC-Net in 2014 and completed Ph.D in 2018. She has previously worked at Chinmaya Viswavidyapeeth as an Assistant Professor at School of Ethics, Governance and Social System and was an active member in designing the course “Indian Knowledge System” for Post-graduate students.Currently, she is the faculty of School of Sanskrit at Gangadhar Meher University, Sambalpur, Odisha. She has completed minor research project on “An Analytical Study of Dāna in Manu and Yājñavalkya Smṛti” funded by OHEPEE (World Bank), Govt. of Odisha. She has published her research works on Human rights, Dharmasutras, Smriti texts, women in Sanskrit, English and Hindi in UGC-Care and Peer reviewed journals. She has also co-authored three books (The critical study of Meghadutta- purva megha, A study of Yaksaprasna of Mahabharata, Kiratajuniyam and Sishupalavadham-Canto-I) with Odia-Sanskrit commentaries for the students of the Odisha. She has been developing the digital contents for MA & BA (Sanskrit) as Content writer at Odisha State Open University, Odisha. Her areas of research include Ancient Indian Legal system, Socio-philosophical concepts in Sanskrit literature.
