Arvind Kaushik

Arvind Kaushik is a scholar affiliated with the research programme Vergelijkende Cultuurwetenschap (Comparative Science of Cultures), developed by Professor S.N. Balagangadhara at Ghent University (https://gyaana.eu/). He holds a PhD from the University of Pardubice, Czech Republic, where his dissertation focused on Tamil nationalism and separatism in South India, with particular attention to the Saiva Siddhanta religion.

As part of the Erasmus (EU) Student Exchange Program, he spent time at Ghent University in Belgium, conducting research for a paper he is currently working on—a case study of interreligious dialogue and polemics between Tamil Saivites of Sri Lanka and Christian missionaries in the nineteenth century. Arvind Kaushik has since returned to his birth country, India, where he continues to pursue his academic and research interests.
